If at all possible, try getting at least 30 to 60 minutes of moderately intense physical activity most days of the week. If it’s more convenient, you can break up your workout time into shorter, more frequent sessions. Any amount of exercise you can get is better than none, so don’t give up!
A quick way to gauge your health is to determine your body mass index, or BMI. The range for a normal, healthy BMI is 18.5 to 25, while 25 to 30 is considered overweight and over 30 is considered obese.
